getting ready for the pre holiday community market..... where we sold our: herbal vinegars , painted recycled wrapping paper, and beautiful handmade paper "wish journals".

 ... huge success... thanks to all the hard work from the students!!!!

While the younger students were away on a field trip, the upper graders were able enjoy their first salad made from the garden.... TASTY FRESH !!!!!!

Looking forward to making holiday wreaths and assembling our new worm compost bin next class.

combing a bit of art with garden....  making a THANK YOU sign for the big cycling event with Levi Leipheimer
... planting sweet peas, lettuce, broccoli, celery, carrots, beets and radishes,
... learning interesting uses of nature by  native americans on a  nature walk with Margie,
... spreading mulch around the garden beds....
... making more garden art for Halloween ... scarecrows with Angie ... and fun ghosts ... all from nature...
... starting our Holiday craft fundraisers for the garden...
          - wrapping paper from recycled paper decorated by the students with veggie prints and leaf prints etc.
         - collected herbs and began making our  herbal vinegars
         - thanks to Erich Lynn for clearing a space for "outdoor classroom"
         ... Pam and Paul Moe ... Blossom and Jamie Entriken... and Satya Kraus for building new garden beds over the weekend!!!
 Ag Day last Sunday was a great success... thanks to Sharon and Erich Lynn and all the parents for volunteering their time to help with the lunch... and donating the money to the garden!
 ... very excited to see the veggies sprouting already!!!...  looking forward to making salads from our garden !!!

class on SEEDS.... .... turning the soil.... adding compost..... and collecting seeds ...making a poster from collected seeds.... planting seeds to start plants... .... listening to a story from a guest reader from los angeles.... friend of kailen, jasper, sage and ella. getting land ready to expand garden... ... cooking apple crisp from collected apples! yum....!!! making signs to identify plants... ... and the PROGRESS... LOTS!!!!!! kids are very excited and we are too!!! lots of exciting plans for the months to come...
